Control of Spiders
Spiders are found to be rarely harmful to humans and animals. None of the indigenous spiders in Sri Lanka are considered to be dangerous. The spider bite has little or no effect on people, while a few others are of trivial medical importance.
Spiders can be a nuisance in human dwellings and they are particularly unattractive to many giving the impression of uncleanliness. Some spiders are attracted to warm and dark spaces like wall cracks, corners and air vents. Other species prefer to remain outdoors, weaving their webs in gardens or near outside lighting. Most spiders are found to be an intrusion primarily because of their webbing. However, the need to control spiders arises due to the inherent fear of spiders in humans.
Treatment for Spiders
Suren Cooke Agencies controls spiders by spraying residual water based pesticide solution to all infested areas by means of a motorized pressure pump. It is connected to a special pole type gun which releases a mist at heights that are non reachable by other spraying equipment.
It is ensured that the mist does not come in contact with non target areas or towards the ground, offering a safe and economical method to control the annoyance of spiders.
